Welcome to Imber

A Modern & Ecological Building

We are IMBER

IMBER is the Latin name for rainfall. This name was selected for the building because its energy consumption is retrieved from natural rainfall and this water is kept warm or cool by the surrounding ground. The organic shapes of the facade are reflecting flowing water. Imber is fosiel free, uses no oil or gas and provides itself for 20% in its own energy needs.

Art

David & Davette and Le Lapin à Vent de Tourtour
David & Davette:

12 meter Hugh massive sculptures from "the artist and designer Piet VAN", are a beacon to the surroundings. The two statues are a cover of the work David from Michelangelo. To create this masterpiece the statues where first carved in marble and then enlarged and masoned according to new developed technics, like gluing brown clay stones in pixels. Afterwards the statue was cut to perfection.

Le Lapin à vent de tourtour:

The left hook of the complex is a black glass block with a white glass pedestal built in Konvortec for the art work le LAPIN à vent de Tourtour of the artists Les Lalannes. This French masterpiece is a windmill. The ears of the rabbit are 1 meter high and catches the wind to turn the nose of the statue in the wind direction

Thermal Activation

Economical & Ecological

There are green buildings but Imber may certainly be called green-green as it is heated and cooled fossil Free and it conforms to the zero CO2 emissions norm. This building takes the lead in innovative technologies. By not using standard floor heating without mass but thermal activation of the concrete core you will enjoy the pleasant accumulative effects of the building and take advantage of cheaper heating and cooling. Cooling or heating does not happen by freshening the air to temperatures below 12 ° C or heating to temperatures above 45°C but by changing the temperatures mass of the building with water temperatures of 18 to 28°c (this prevents colds or allergies in the summer).

Geothermic

Full Surface Utilization

The hatch geothermal is optimized to the maximum. A part of the necessary energy is extracted from water which runs through the ground by means of a horizontal captationnet. There are 15km polyethylene tubes in the basement at 3m depth in order to extract the heat from the ground.

Other part of the energy comes out of rainwater stored in tanks with a Total capacity of 700,000 liters. We deliberately do not use energy-guzzling air - water heat pumps but a water - water heat pump to produce energy with the highest efficiency or COPs. Our selected heat pump works with a dual compressor and a 4 pipe system so heat and cold water can be generated at the same time. With an equal heating and cooling demand by the users the system does not need to inserted energy into the ground, and the efficiency is maximal. The heating and cooling costs are a fraction of a classical building erected in columns, beams and slabs.
